  1. next big thing may be pushing it. but he is def very exciting. I have been high on him for a number of years now. I remember watching him when he was like 5-0 on FNF. They used to showcase him alot early on. He has the physical attributes to really go places in the heavyweight division. Just not sure if he has the technique to carry him there. Will be interesting to see how he turns out. check out my blog I picked him by 1st round KO over Liakhovich. http://mbj7944.wordpress.com/2013/08/10/deontay-wilder-stops-liakhovich-in-round-1-with-a-golden-right-hand/

    • I agree that Wilder has more to prove. A couple of issues remain for Deontay Wilder. One is his ability to take a punch. The truth is Deontay Wilder hasn’t been hit yet and as a result, his chin hasn’t been tested at all. Old adage is that a guy who has a glossy record with a high knockout percentage can’t take a punch. Secondly, what will happen to Wilder when he’s in a fight with someone who can take his punch and take him some rounds. We just don’t know how he will react. One thing is for sure, Wilder looks to have the physical tool to be something in Heavyweight division, but he needs to be tested first. You’re also right about his technique, its lacking at times. Thanks for taking the time out to provide comments mbj7944.
